About the Bride:
April grew up in the little town of Perrysburg and has yet to move out of it. She went to Rossford High School, graduated in 2000 and then went to Owen's to play volleyball. She finally graduated there in 2004 and started playing women's professional football for the Toledo Spitfire. After two years of that, she decided to go back to school at Lourdes College to get her bachelor's degree in Marketing. She got that degree in her hands on December 20, 2008. She now works at Virtual Technologies Group & owns a wedding planning business called "Your Perfect Day!" She loves to travel which is why they are having a destination wedding! Her mother is the most wonderful person in this world & she would be nothing without her love and support. She only has one brother (thank God), Justin, who she loves dearly. Even though they don't see each other a lot, she loves this guy & is very protective of him.
About the Groom:
Everyone wants to know about this amazing man Andy that has stolen April's heart. Well, this amazing man is from Ottawa. He graduated from Ottawa Glandorf in 1996 and then attended UT for a bit and then went to the University of Findlay. While he attended Findlay, he played volleyball and kicked for the football team. Andy got his bachelor's degree in Middle School Education, the math & science department. He is now an educator at Rossford High School and is an independent distributor of Mona-Vie! He has lived all over Ohio: Ottawa, Findlay, Columbus and now he lives with April in Perrysburg. He too loves to travel. He comes from an amazing family. April couldn't ask for a better family to call her future in-laws! When you first meet him, he seems like the shy guy but once you get to know him, he is a big goof ball that loves to entertain anyone.
Our Story:
We love this story and can't wait to share it with all of you. As you know, Andy & April both played volleyball in college so they both continued to play after college in an adult league. Well, they both played on "power" teams at the Premier Academy in Maumee. On the weekend of March 16th, their teams were scheduled to play against each other. So, they both got onto the court, not knowing what was about to happen. The game started, April is pretty sure Andy's team was beating her team, and she noticed this cute guy across the net. Not knowing who he was, she figured she could ask someone about him after the game. Little did she know, Andy had already asked someone on his team what her name was and what her "story" was.
About half way into the game, Andy is hitting on the right side and April is playing defense on the back, left line. As Andy goes up to swing at the ball, April play's her normal defense which is close her eyes and put her hands in front of her face. Somehow, Andy manages to hit the ball right at her, off her hands. It was a very, very nice shot. So, a few seconds later April got up to the net and tell him, "Nice hit." And he comes back at April with......are you ready for this......."Hey, I had to get your attention somehow!" April was very impressed because she usually laughs at pick up lines but this one ACTUALLY worked. And the fairy tale has been going on ever since!
The Wedding:
The wedding will be on the beach at North Myrtle Beach. We both love the beach & want everyone to enjoy the week with us down there!
The Honeymoon:
The couple will honeymoon in romantic Italy!
