About the Bride:

Alyson is the daughter of Hilary and Amy Sujkowski of Toledo, Ohio.  She is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Toledo and a 2006 graduate from the University of Toledo.  Alyson received her Masters in Biology from the University of Toledo in 2010.  She currently works at the University of Michigan as a Lab Manager, doing aging research.  She enjoys running (4 marathons) and spending time with her dog, Wilson.

About the Groom:

Brian is the son of Ken and Becky Burk.  Originally from New Carlisle, Ohio, he graduated from Tecumseh High School in 2003.  He went to the University of Toledo and graduated from there in 2008.  Brian works at BusinessVoice in Toledo as an Account Manager.  Brian enjoys golf, baseball and running.  He ran his first marathon with Alyson in January 2011.

Our Story:

They met August 9, 2009 at a Toledo Mud Hens game (at least that's the day Brian remembers).  They immediately hit it off, but Alyson was seeing someone else at that time.  They developed a good friendship and began dating in April 2010.  Alyson and Brian got engaged during a long weekend to Traverse City.  Before the trip, Brian knew he was going to propose, and got the ring (and permission from Aly's parents).  As soon as they got to Traverse City, Brian took Aly for a walk and proposed on the bay front.

The Wedding:

The wedding will take place September 22, 2012 at 2 PM at Rosary Cathedral followed by a 6PM reception at the Toledo Zoo African Lodge.
