My Recent Trips
I have just returned from a wonderful week in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Punta Cana's 20 miles of pearl-white sand beaches merged with sapphire-blue waters creates scenery surpassed by no other. This sparkling gem in the Caribbean not only offers an impeccable ambiance, but also luxurious resorts, fine dining, and a wide variety of activities. Punta Cana features the longest coral reef in the whole island (about 19 miles long). Divers and snorkelers of all experience levels can explore reef caverns and nearby Catalina and Saona Islands. For land lovers, there are challenging golf courses, tennis courts, horseback riding, bicycling, or you can soar high above land and water on a parasailing ride.
I had the opportunity to stay at the Barcelo Punta Cana and the RIU Palace Punta Cana and visit the newly renovated RIU Bambu. If Punta Cana is on your list, call me, I have the latest first hand knowledge on these lovely resorts!
My family and I have just returned from a wonderful Southern Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean onboard the Adventure of the Seas. We visited the most exotic Caribbean islands on this itinerary; Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St Thomas. Adventures are endless in this area. You can explore the Hato Caves in Curaçao. Take advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to race an America's Cup sailboat. Relax and take in some sun at Magens Bay Beach in beautiful St. Thomas. Stroll down the streets of Old San Juan and discover the largest Spanish citadel built in the New World. And explore the many cultures that make up these exotic islands.
The ship was very clean and the crew was amazing! I have cruised several times and the customer service onboard Royal Caribbean was truly exceptional. TIP: Take a city tour on the day of disembarkation in San Juan. Just $25.00 per person and it can be booked right at the pier. A great way to see old and new San Juan and avoid spending hours at the airport!
Recently I sailed on Carnival's Destiny with my family. We sailed from San Juan to St. Thomas, Dominicana, Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua.
Fresh off a multi-million dollar refurbishment, the Carnival Destiny is better than ever and packed with places to have fun. With three pools, a variety of eateries, lounges, nightclubs, a friendly casino, duty-free shopping and Spa Carnival, a cruise on this amazing "Fun Ship" is the vacation you were born to take. You might even say it's your Destiny!
